In Phoenix, 13 dance artists use different chorographical methods to explore what it means to be a company. They delve deep into the knowledge and experience they have between them, as a group, to see what might come out on the other side of the fire. The focus is on how the body of a company is built, examining its social as well as physical characteristics
Weld Company consists of dancers and choreographers from different generations and contexts that together immerse themselves in various choreographic methods and the issues surrounding the collective and the common.
Weld Company has since 2013, invited Swedish and International choreographers to create choreographic works under the set rule “No Talking No Props”.
Phoenix premiered at Dansens Hus våren 2016.
